Jo MurphyJo Murphy, Coordinator – I am a co-founder of the organisation so have been involved since its inception in 2003. Since this time I have met the most amazing and inspirational people and have had the privilege of walking this journey with some of them. I became full-time coordinator of Lighthouse in 2006 and since then have seen the organisation grow from strength to strength.

sharon-quinnSharon Quinn
, Office Manager – worked for Lighthouse since 2005.

My current role involves management of funding, finances and day to day office activity.  Although my background is primarily business and finance, in 2014 I completed an Honours degree in Health and Social Care, allowing me a much greater understanding in terms of the work of Lighthouse and it’s context within the wider HSC Sector.  I love my job and feel extremely privileged to have met and worked with some of the most amazing and selfless people.  To feel I can contribute, in even the tiniest way, to helping others to find support during their darkest moments, is extremely humbling.

As a Crisis Worker and Counsellor I have experience in working with a wide range of issues. A sensitive and non-judgemental approach is at the core of my work. My counselling training and experience are integrative, incorporating elements from psychodynamic, humanistic, solution focused and CBT theory.  My way of working relies on a strong, empathetic person-centred foundation and this relationship accommodates the range of approaches and interventions which I integrate. I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a Qualified Member of ATSAC (Association for the Treatment of Sex Addiction and Compulsivity).

cheryl-airCheryl Air –
Crisis Worker – worked for Lighthouse since 2016

I work alongside the crisis team and befrienders.  I love being part of such an amazing organisation.  I came to be in this role as I had previously been a service user myself, and I now feel I want to give back to the community the hope that was given to me.
