3 ways to improve your mental health

Mental health is similar to physical health because both require maintainance. This blog post looks at three ways to improve your mental health.

  1. Listen to your favourite music
  2. Take regular exercise, for example, walking, running, swimming or by joining a gym
  3. Eat more wholefoods

The key to good mental health is having a balance. So listening to music for a while, then taking a 30 minute walk followed by a healthy dinner will help to improve your mental health.

Medical Support Services- Thank you for your donation :)

Thank you so much to everyone at Medical Support Services for their recent donation to Lighthouse.  They emailed us in this photograph with the following comment:

Here at Medical Support Services we held a cake sale and everyone in our office baked buns/cakes, from this we raised £430.
Below is a picture of members from our charity committee who organised the cake sale event.
From Left to right we have David, Jo from Lighthouse, Caroline, Monty and James presenting Jo with our donation.
We wanted to contribute to the great work Lighthouse already carries out and hope that this money will assist with that.

Fundraise for Lighthouse

At Lighthouse we offer a range of services including counselling support for those at risk of suicide and family support for those who have experienced loss through suicide.  Fundraising is a vital part of our work and enables us to continue offering as many services as possible.  If you would like to be a part of that please get in touch with us.  Fundraising can vary from sponsored walks or casual clothes days at school to something as amazing as running the marathon for us.  Contact to discuss.  Thank you 🙂marathon
